Wine Cellar Merano Burggräfler
Wine cellar Merano Burggräfler was founded in 2010 from a merger of two historic cellars of the Merano area – Cellar Vini Merano and Cellar Burggräfler, both wineries with a long tradition.
The grapes processed by the winery are produced by 400 different vintners who deal with a remarkable surface planted with vineyards – 260 hectares strewn over the municipalities of Lagundo, Tirolo, Caines, Rifiano, Scena, Marlengo, Cermes, Lana and in some areas of the Venosta Valley.
This is how four different lines of wines get born
The Selection line gathers some of the most precious pearls of the production of the Merano Burggräfler winery. These are wines produced from particular selected vineyards and bottled exclusively in the best years. The line of red wines includes Pinot Noir “Zeno”, Lagrein “Segen” and “Freiherr” Merlot, as well as Sauvignon “Mervin”. They are flanked by Pinot Blanc “Tyrol”, Chardonnay “Goldegg” and Gwürztraminer “Labers”.
In the Graf von Meran line, instead, there are some noble names of this winery. Seven white wines, representing the local offer, as well as some very structured red wines. Among these, such two renowned wines of Merano as follows: Eines Fürsten Traum and Schickenburg.
Line Sonnenburg, that gathers wines produced in the Venosta Valley, is composed of the most appreciated witnesses of this small wine area. It includes the fresh Pinot Blanc, the gutsy Kerner, Schiava rich in aromas, and the fruity Pinot Noir.
Last, but not least, the Festival line. A selection of six white, six red wines, and one rosé. Wines known for their freshness. A tribute to the wine tradition of this territory.
